Both tea leaves and coffee cup readings are known as Tasseography, or Tasseomancy. Coffee Readings are psychic readings done by using a cup of coffee as though it's a crystal ball. Ground Turkish coffee is mostly used when cup readings are done. The residue is left at the bottom of the cup after the coffee is drunk, when the cup is then covered with a saucer, shaken, and turned over (up side down) into the saucer, and left to cool and dry. No more expensive questionable take-out and stressed out and late 8pm dinners. Your kids come home to find me happily cooking there with amazing things they like to eat, all ready to go. I am a Personal Cook for families, the cook for retreat groups by contract, the "co host labour" for small parties and special occasions, preparing of custom foods to be picked up by special order for individuals, groups, charities, small venues, personal advertising purposes, and just to GIVE.

I am now available for cooking clients in Ottawa West Centerpointe Area, specifically Paseo Private or other areas nearby, days of the work week. We can meet and go from there with details and negotiate something that works for all of us.

Typically I to come to your home once a week for 4 hours of your choice and dish it up for you anyway YOU like it, using your exact instructions, your kitchen and your supplies. I provide the labor. I am a super efficient extension of you. You buy the groceries, you bookmark your favorite recipes, leave me a list of allergies and dislikes and I give you hours of awesome cooking and clean up. I also leave you a list of needed groceries or recommendations for ingredients and the best places to buy them, lending you years of independent health food research.

In addition to the meals - I can bake up a storm (gluten free anyone?) and also cut up ready-to-eat fresh veggies (you know the ones that go bad in the bottom drawers...), wash and spin salad with a homemade dressing, and use up perishables for soups or stock, so nothing goes to waste. Specializing in healthy concepts, integral meats, vegetarian, vegan, special diets or raw/living meals with many influences from around the world. I will cook any type of food to suit your needs and budget. My focus is on local, organic, regional, seasonal foods with environmental awareness where possible. I honor all food that comes my way. I can help you make a slow or fast transition to healthy food choices if you so desire! Or just catch a glimpse at healthy eating. Anything is possible.........I can also guide you towards healthy food changes by taking a stroll with you through your fridge and cupboards or at the grocery store. You are welcome to assist and learn with cooking any day. You will be amazed at how your fridge stops haunting you and starts feeding you! So here we are in BEAUTIFUL Buenos Aires! We met Jose Maria of Argentina and Bill and Patty of Philly U.S. on the plane and thankfully shared a comfy cab with them to downtown to be hosted by the lovely Shelly Monahan previously of Ottawa referred by Mildred Lynn (thank you!.) We are headed to Gaia Eco Village tomorrow and then to other organic farms and who knows..........off to the country we go! The travel was long and turbulent but WE ARE HERE! It's hot and romantic and we are very excited. We spent the sunset at a beautiful park with a bottle of wine and a picnic from a local grocery store.......more in store!!!! Talk soon! Ok so we are in Lujan west of Gaia Eco Village, http:///. Our stay at Gaia was short but interesting and we left quite an impact on the residents with Turkish Coffe Cup readings last night which confirmed the purpose, beauty and essence of the place for everyone. Our arrival was somewhat unexpected but welcomed and they had too many volunteers so we stayed as guests for 2 nights to feel it out. They have a nice village with many projects on the go and a beautiful garden. We helped out with food a bit and stayed in a nice clean enviro setting. Solar, wind and compost systems are cool! They were too busy to give us a guided tour so we guided ourselves and asked a lot of questions. We may head back there when they need volunteers, otherwise its $15 a day U.S. food and accomodations, which is fair but costly for the start of our trip! My allergies are going crazy and I (yesim) got stung by a dead wasp on the bus today but it was alright, I was confused! So we are headed to Mendoza tonight on an overnight bus to visit www.elperegrinorganico.com an organic farm near the Andes! They are expecting us......thanks to a referral from Texas Nick who we met at GAIA! Talk soon!!!! Lots of love....

Nov 28!

Hi! ok so we have been here at El Peregrino a week tomorrow. I have had the flu since we got here and am today just feeling a little better. Its going around here so...it started with a headache at GAIA then nausea on the 12 hr bus ride here, vomiting and lots of sleeping, then I felt better Saturday and that night got a really sore throat and still have a not so bad sore throat. The family is really nice and patient and say many are sick at first. So my judgment and mood has been poor and Seb pulled a muscle yesterday in his back so that did not help! He has been very helpful and supportive but I have been hard to be around cause we are in a tent at a new place and I was really sick and it rained and its cold at night here- BUT we are on the mend and will spend a week or so here and perhaps at the other 2 www.wwoofinternational.com farms that they are connected to and see where we go from here. Wish there was more fun to report but the other wwoofers are younger but very nice and have formed a clic that takes time and energy that I have not had to warm up to not to mention the spanish barrier with the family! But its time to get accquainted now that I feel better. Sebs having a great time, he always does which I admire and learn from. I am helping Anna with cooking and market prep so thats fun and seb is doing everything he can, loves the garden of course! Talk soon, Nug hi! Say hi to the folks for us! Love to all!

Hey there folks. We are still here at El Penegrino Organic farm. I am much better only left with allergies so thats fine. We will be here till Wednesday the 6th. We are going to an organic cherry farm owned by Ruben Pagliafora and family to experience different farms. Probably for a few weeks then who knows, maybe Cordoba. I was going to write more but someone else is waiting. All in all things are on the up and up and a lot of fun so stay tuned......lots of love.

Hi all! So we are now at Ruben´s Cherry Farm as mentioned and are enjoying it very much. Lots of Cherries to eat, yum! We have been working on a massive squash crop weeding and adding soil to small plants for days! I also have weeded onions, sorted cherries and picked beans. Another field of sqash after that! Pepe from U.K. from Perengrino is also with us and we are having fun. The family is very kind and interesting and we are looking forward to spending another week with them. They have a typical diet with fresh veggies and like to watch TV and talk with us about politics, the woes and blessings of organics and various other topics. We have been coming to the organic farmers market in Mendoza city for the past 2 saturdays where 6 different organic farmers sell including the cherry farm and El perengrino. Its great to stock up on food we like and need. Also, we use the internet and phone. A Canadian company is apparenty part of starting up a mine in the Andes for Gold which will put the small amount of independant farmers out of land due to contamination! Including the farms we have been at, so all you protesters get on it! So Ben Shultz a friend from home met up with us and is still at El Perengrino having fun! Much fun! Our bus today at noon from Mendoza province will take us there for 7am! So short on time, we will update more soon. So we are enjoying ourselves here at the beach. We rented a bachelor pad from a nice older couple since last Sunday who have adopted us as their own! We leave from there tomorrow for a short trip down the Southern Coast to visit an old indigineous area with Fletch the tour guide and his friend and 2 german girls, katia and johanna. We are camping near the beach for a bit now leaving an extra backpack with Maria and Mario who we rented the bachelor from. We have had nice quiet time getting to know the area and shopping for fresh food and veggies. We found a mini health food store where we found nutritional yeast!!!! Its right before tourist season so we are lucky to be in the lull before the mayhem. Our new camp is up the coast from Las Grutas in a quiet area called Los Colorados with hip friends and travellers. There are large pink stones and white sandy beaches and less people! Anyway we will be here for a few more months as camping is VERY affordable, we think, so keep in touch if you wanna visit! Then back up the Andes through Barilloche, then to visit the organic farms of previous again and then up North and perhaps we will duck into another country if it is renew Visa time by then........talk soon, take care for now.

Happy New Year to all! Well we have definately found a home till the end of Feb! The beach is a really nice place to be. We have met many friends and have been staying at Los Coloradas beach 2km south of Las Grutas, by invitation by Alberto and family and friends. We are camping and sharing private facilities. It is a primative but enjoyable situation. Las Grutas is near by and we enjoy the town once in a while. Its been a while sorry! Guess we are busy! We are helping out at a restaurant a bit, doing coffee readings, babysitting, cooking healthy food for those of us who care! and walking the beach and swimming......... Life is tough. There are down times for sure but we get through them. We are working on getting a photo site for you to click on. Ciao for now, thanks for all your comments and love.

Hi! Still at the beach, hard place to leave and why really? Ash and Kristine the tent is our home and we really appreciate it, thanks! It is withstanding harsh, strong winds! MEC would be proud! There is so much we could tell you but not much time at the internet cafe! So more fun, more sun, all the stuff that makes you wanna be here and not in Canada yada yada yada. Its great because everyday the weather is different since we are in Patagonia territory so it mixes up our mood and keeps us on our toes. I have surrendered to the moody weather, sun and fun and am enjoying myself when I am feeling well. Its been up and down for me in this country. Seb is great as usual of course.....I make lunch everyday for 6 of us health foodies. Abdul buys the veggies, Seb the India clothes stand dude buys condiments, Alberto and Nora pitch in money and supply the facility and wash dishes, Seb works the morning up at the restaurant to help support our showers and dinners and then joins us for lunch. So the weather again, one day overcast and cool, the next really hot and sunny, the next windy and sunny etc. Nights are cool, chilly or warm and nice.......Hope you all are doing well, get through Feb and then its spring again!!! Hey so here we are again, still bearing the beach life and still alive, which is good, now writing......went to a reggae fest on the beach, Abdul rules! You night owls would love Argentina, bars/parties/ festivals open at 1 am to about 8 am, you nap from 10pm-2pm, so watched the sunrise to beautiful reggae music.....we don´t party late often as recovery takes a week, plus we love the daytime at the beach. Just a short note for now to let you know we are well and happy. Watched a movie on a big screen on the beach tonight, there is one every fri, sat, and sunday, Argentininan movies, very good. Now we check for email emergencies and lovely notes and are off to walk home via the beach and check out an electronic night club on our way by......Love to all......

Feb 3rd

Howdie folks, came into town to watch another movie on the beach called Los Manos, check it out its a touching story about a healer........the full moon is intense! It was full Feb 1st and everyone was hurting themselves or something. I had the 24 hour flu and Corto the beach dog of Alberto was killed in a heat fight for a bitch in heat in the night, Alberto found him on the beach in the morning and we buried him at sunrise. Seb really loved that dog so he is really sad and I am sad too. Happy Birthday Yas! Hope it was great. Thanks for your inspiration! We love you. Just got back from 2 days at Puerta Pyramides in Chubut Province (google it) with Las Grutas/Las Coloradas buddy Rodrigo to visit a friend Lujan. Pics to come. We camped and enjoyed a magical walk down the coast of pyramid rocks. That day was unforgetable to say the least. Our campfires were interesting and inspiring. Feeling refreshed we think of more day trips......its really nice where we are but I am getting restless of the routine. Seb is ok with whatever as usual. Hey hey you cool cats, still here at the beach........came to town today to check emails and shop and get other things done...uploading pictures........here till about March 9, heading up north where it will be warmer........kids are starting to go back to school next week and the tourists are slowly going home.........prices will come down and we will leave too. We will miss all our dear friends here of so many months of love and support. Loving and missing you all.

Hey hey, still here having fun spending time with friends who aren´t too busy with tourists anymore. We are going to General Roca with Ines till Tuesday for a tour to her family farm, lots of fruit trees! Its nice and quiet here now and it rained for 3 days but the sun is out and we continue to have fun. We are at a potluck right now at Poly´s, its so nice to be with good friends. Still at the beach! Hard to leave such a beautiful place and why really! Had dinner with Guy and Susan last night at their beachfront apt! Spent the night there and woke up to the beautiful ocean view from the patio. They are good old friends of Seb´s from Canada here to track migratory birds from Canada with the government for 4 weeks in this area! How lucky are we! So cool. Its cool today, hence at the internet for most of the day catchin up on cyber goober for all you´s. On the homestretch soon but for now we are here and tomorrow we will be there somewhere.........so as you can tell I am getting lazy with entries but we love you all dearly and will have a slide show night when we get back to add stories to the photos and there is always the link to a glimse of some of our 500 photos on facebook above. Hey hey, well we have left the beach.........such a special place.........We love you friends of Las Grutas! We got onto the bus feeling so surreal about leaving as we waved to Edu, Poli, Rodrigo, Flavia and Alberto......we appreciate the love and care we received since Xmas (wow) beyond words........it still has not hit me. So strange to be in a city again BUT it is a fabulous city to explore, IF it stops raining. We are staying with Nacho, Belen (we met in Los Coloradas) and Bella- awesome, warm, loving, hospitable friends! We are off to Iguazu Falls tonight at 6 until Saturday morning! Should be spectacular! Then back to celebrate Lujans birthday at Tigre Island and then some fun with Ines and Abdul at a Reggae Bar then off to Canada!

Ok so here is my famous Oatmeal Cookie recipe for all those asking, thank you for loving them!

Oatmeal Jade

Oven to 375. Bowl and fork, 2 eggs beaten, 1/2 cup sunflower oil, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tsp cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg what have you, 1 tbsp vanilla, 3 tbsp liquid (milk, water, orange juice etc.) Mix, 1 & 1/2 cups of organic sugar or 1 cup honey, 1 cup mixed raisins, walnuts, sesame, sunflower seeds etc., 2 cups wheat germ (1 cup could be rice flour for crispy cookies, 3 cups fine oats, and last in the bowl 1 tsp baking soda and lots of love. Mix, grease sheets, form balls, press each twice with fork to flaten, double the pan or they will burn, 18 min, rotate at 8 min. Cool and enjoy!

Hey hey cool cats, well Iguazu Falls were amazing! Profound and humbling, photos to come! Went to a tango bar last night to watch........have not learned enough tango yet. Hola! Hello everyone! I made it! I had rotten flights. American airlines bytes.

Bad food, a nice old man with a breathing disorder beside me-poor guy and poor me, screaming kids all around me, running to make my connections and to top it all off the flight attendant spilled a whole glass of OJ on my lap and the plane was too full to move me! I got a free sandwich and a cookie out of it.....like that made me feel dryer.....

My friends Nacho, Belen and Ines here came to get me at the airport yesterday and today! Ooops, they misread the itinerary! Pool souls.....great friends.

Today I had a nap on arrival and then we had an awesome lunch at a Wild Oat type of place they knew I would like (very sweet) and I went wholesale clothes shopping with Ines for her shop! Scored some nice cheap digs! Going for another nap and out for dinner. Its sooooo hot here! A beauty day eh. Buenos Aires is so nice in the summer, much different than the fall, alot happier feeling. Sun helps. So I am so excited to be here with great friends! I will head to the beach Dec 3 and be there on the 4th with Ines, to reconnect with more friends who eagerly await the arrival of the crazy turkish princess!

At the moment I am staying with Bella, Nachos awesome mom, in Buenos Aires land line: 48137902. I am in and out and in between hanging out with Ines, Nacho and Belen. I will be going roadtrippen to Coloradas beach to my camp as I mentioned, my residence will be Alberto's empty bread delivery truck, like the post office trucks, very industrial and simple, which is great to jazz up with luggage and stuff ya wonder why you brought! This year there Alberto jimmy'ed up an electric hot shower, BONUS or what. Luxury primitive living, gotta love it. Alberto is our beach guru, nice man, nice family, nice people, period.

Hola!!!! Happy December! I am awesome! Feelin good, bit of spring allergies from the blooming linden (Tilo) trees etc. Homeopathics are helping. Alot of light shopping with the heavy Canadian dollar! I dislike very much the bright summer primary colors here right now everywhere, and weird shoes, guess I'll save some moola. Out of 20 shoe stores, I found 2 awesome pairs that my size was sold out...like, as if. Played with 2 pure Persian kittens of Belen's, soooo cute ! Met up with Matias -grandson of Mabel and friend from the beach last year, went to a beautiful city back yard garden party laced with Jasmine, Orchids in bloom!, Ginkgo trees, grape vines and great people! Thanks Turko! Made dinner for my hosts and am serving up lots of turkish coffee and divine guidance! Stay tuned, the beach is this way.........oh ya....., pics soonawe.....or lateawe

Hi, ya, I'm not bored but Bella's has a computer so its night and gosh darnit, its fun so you are being informed of things. Don't get spoiled, you may not hear from me for stretches when I go to da beach man. Primativo si? So like today I like got up at 11am so I'm like getting back into a schedule I like, hee hee. Went for a long stroll-walk on the streets of "the Paris of South America", Qui.., and ate lunch at a bistro, great food, nice seat overlooking a sea of Argentine events, one being an AIDS parade featuring a giant blown up penis with condoms being thrown off into the streets. It was pretty strange funny. An dennnnn, found a health food store I proceeded to buy out forgetting that I carry my stuff around- duh, did some side walk shopping, was in the company of 3 great men who carried my bags, bought me roses and came into stores and opened doors......that's special. Pablo que paso chico, "pink". Made dinner for my hosts, filet minon, lomo with hongo-sebolla sautee. Pasta el dante con aciete de oliva y pimente negra, julienned herb veggie stirfry y ensalada de lechuga. Con vino tinto y pan caliente. Para desert, frutilla fresca con crema, cacoa crudo y buddin tinto. Ok so this is rambling suzy signing off till the next Argentinian menu rant, chow........

Hola, I am having fun here in Las Grutas, Golfo de Matias! I just got an old bike to toot around on for 130 pesos, $40 bucks more or less, so that helps. I live in a truck at the beach like the mail delivery ones, its fun and big and wind proof! There is a wood heated shower too! Set up the cooperative kitchen at the beach and will run it Mon, Tues, Fri and travel around on the other days. My jaw hurts today, not sure why......anyways, heard you got lots of snow Ottawa. Bummer. Hee hee. Well, no worries I am safe and surrounded by many friends. Talk soon. The beach is sooooo niiiiccceee...........The weather is so unpredictable here but nice. The wind regulates the temperature. Its hard to plan what to wear, hot one min cool the next. Ciao for now.......pics to come

Hola amigos.....Ok so first of all, sorry I have been away from the internet if you've been wondering bout me.....I am having fun to say the least and busy cooking with the co-operative kitchen which is awesome and working out great, lazing around on the beach, reading coffee cups, reading books, walking the beach, hanging out with friends here and there, learning Argentinian spanish! Learning how to use my cell phone to text message in spanglish....ha haaaaa, I am reachable but please for my far away friends, text messages only and calls for emergencies only for obvious expensive reasons at 02920/15513116. I feel safer with a phone and it helps a lot to communicate with friends in town when at the beach and vice versa. Ok so I am hungry and tired of the computer for now, so I say ciao for now and stay tuned for more info of some kind in the forseeable future and perhaps some photos. Holy shitake! Its been a while..........and well I have no good excuse....perdon! So since last entry I have been doing more of the same, my spanish has improved a lot (really), the cooperative kitchen is a huge success and I am so fufilled with lots of photos! Feeding and meeting a lot of people, doing a lot of coffee readings, lots of beach time, lots of beautiful generous friends, lots of biking and well, I am having freggin a blast! So no news has been good news. The internet just doesn´t seem to happen this trip for me so hmmm. What else to say.....leaving here soon to go to Costa Rica.......time sure flys by it seems. I really feel like I live here this year and not just visiting. I love my little bread truck house and my hosts are soooooo cooperative, generous and kind. I am the crazy turkish-canadian cook/coffee witch on the hill......people come from far and wide to experience a rare combination here in Patigonia land.....its really interesting and people have very little knowledge of health and are extremely supersitious. So I am looking forward to reconnecting back home in the spring and hearing about all of your winter adventures. I hope to write again soon but ya know if I don´t I love you all very much and I am just a text message away (see above entry). I think if I was travelling around I would have more to write about but I am in one place doing the same thing so really its quite repeditive to write about but very interesting to experience.........so adios amigos until the next entry.........love you!!!!!!!! Hola, y ciao Argentina, I love you! NOW its con mucho gusto to announce that I am in Nosara, Costa Rica, Playa Guiones! Tico land, NOT. Gringo town is more like it. Well its been 6 years and a lot has changed, but its still beautiful. So the skinny is I have a nice little apartment for the month and a phone if ya wanna call before 9am any morning or in the evening between 7-10pm, its 506-682-0194. I´ll be here till April 8 and home April 9th! So off I go to catch up on lost time and to see the sunset over the pacific ocean, hermosa! So here you are checking out the good life....So I am in Costa Rica again for another southern adventure mid Nov 2009- May 2010! With lots of love, appreciation and gratitude for life.

I worked with Costa Rica Yoga Spa until the new year and enjoyed the experience very much with appreciation to all involved. Thank you for your hospitality and generosity and all the teachings.

Now, I have a sweet little house near the river mouth on Playa Pelada in Nosara Costa Rica. I have a guest room as well and I am a short monkey trail from the beach, its pretty awesome. I am busy living the good simple life and doing odd work exchanges with cooking, coffee readings and fashion just to keep it interesting.......life is good.

If you want to visit.....First, check out the area of Nosara at my links. So before you buy a ticket, reach me with Skype user name yesimgumus11 to see if I can accommodate the date you wish to visit. Of course you can always come and stay wherever you wish, see links, click on Nosara and snoop around. Delta and Air Canada fly the most direct flights to Liberia, Costa Rica, 2 hrs from Nosara, from Ontario or Quebec, Canada. There are some other charters as well if you come during high season, do a search. I know Continental and American also fly to Liberia. Whatever you do avoid San Jose Airport its far and tiresome. Not the greatest city to arrive in. Liberia is quiet and nice. http://www.skyauction.com/ could be an option or check with friends who work for airlines for a buddy pass.

If you are high rolling checkout http://www.natureair.com/ for flights from Liberia airport to Nosara air strip. If you want full service try http://www.nosaratravel.com/ for all the arrangements.

The cheapest most comfortable way to Nosara from there is to rent a car, try National Car Rental then you can deposit it in Nosara. They will give you directions. Should be around $80 U.S. Otherwise a taxi could cost $120 per person. You can prearrange a taxi on the Nosara Web link if you like, would be a guarantee. Its a beautiful drive, pave road turns to bumpy dirt road for the last half hour or so up the coast so have confidence, you are not lost! If you get stopped by the police, you may have to pay a fine or talk your way out of it somehow, just say you have no paper money, Spanish helps........learn basic Spanish and be nice and careful. All your stuff should be in the trunk out of view. Its not dangerous, just be smart. OR the cheapest way to get here from Liberia would be to take a cab to Nicoya and take a local bus from Nicoya to Nosara . Renting bikes when you get here is fun.

Bring Visa or some Cash to start or a check card that is Visa and Debit in one. The bank machine only accepts Visa for withdrawals NOT MOST DEBIT CARDS, Scotia bank and Royal Bank seem to work for some people, make sure you have a PIN for your visa. Please check the Nosara Web Page for other concerns, its all there more or less or call me. Get health insurance, see World Nomads link. Its cheap. You never know!

Make photo copies of all ID and cards etc. and leave a copy at home with a friend. Theft is a very common reality as I have mentioned so be smart. Do not be a flashy tourist! Don't advertise your northamericanism. Be a guest. There are people living with way less that are annoyed that we show up with our abundance! And they will take it away from you. Whoever they are. Never leave your car with stuff in it anywhere, you may be watched, leave someone behind or leave it in the guest house well hidden from housekeeping or in the safe. They will even take your flip flops from the beach so bury them in the sand! Its a downer, so just be smart!

What else can I tell you.....a lot..... so lets save it for when you visit! It will be so much fun! Save your questions for the call but read this well first, the answers are here or on my links.

Safe bleach powder all natural, real maple syrup, brown rice syrup, pure Xylitol sugar.
